☳ About
Hi, I’m Raphael Olegário, a PhD candidate at the University of Brasília, with a research focus on Alzheimer’s disease and the neuroscience of aging. I’m particularly interested in how the brain changes over time, including questions around cognition, sleep, and brain clearance systems. A major part of my work is exploring non-pharmacological approaches, such as exercise and other lifestyle-related interventions, that may help support brain health and reduce the impact of age-related cognitive decline.
My research also makes use of data science, neuroimaging, and computational methods to better understand these processes and identify patterns that may be relevant to Alzheimer’s disease and healthy aging. More broadly, I’m interested in how we can use science, technology, and everyday interventions to better understand and support brain health across the lifespan.
This site is a place where I share a bit about my research, ongoing projects, and some of the questions I’m exploring along the way!
Thanks for stopping by.
